About Us
Wisteria Way is nestled in the natural surrounds and bush clad hills of Waimamaku Valley. Just minutes from the Waipoua Forest, home of Tane Mahuta heading south and the beautiful Hokianga Harbour heading north, we invite you to enjoy the peace and comfort of our little cottages and developing gardens while you explore the beautiful Hokianga area.
Onsite through spring and summer, our "coffee garden" is open where you can enjoy great coffee with a delicious cake, muffin or scone, sitting among the fragrant roses, and cottage garden flowers while surrounded by the native bush clad hills of the Wekaweka and Waimamaku Valleys.
Browse our craft and gift shop for something special to remind you of your time in the uniquely beautiful, natural environs of the Hokianga.
If you're passing through or stopping for a while, we invite you to visit at Wisteria Way and feel the gentle breeze touch you with the timelessness that is Hokianga
Wisteria Way offers beautiful semi-independent and backpacker holiday accommodation in the Hokianga area. Set in a lovely tranquil setting in pretty cottage gardens, our cottages are an ideal base for exploring the Hokianga area, visiting whanau and friends or staying a night on your journey along the Twin Coast Highway.
Self cater in our fully equipped kitchen in the common room or eat out at one of the local food eateries in nearby Waimamaku, Opononi and Omapere.
Start the day with a flat white sitting in the garden of our onsite coffee shop or buy a memento of your travels from our beautiful little craft and gift shop.
Visit majestic Tane Mahuta in the Waipoua Forest, explore the beaches of Hokianga, hear the telling of the story of Kupe at Manea or just sit on your verandah with a book in hand soaking up the peace and tranquility of our pretty gardens while the piwakawaka (fantails) dance around you.
The ongoing development of our little peace of paradise is our "retirement" project and we welcome you to share in our joy as the gardens change through the seasons, the flowers bloom and trees grow. Listen to the buzz of bees as they feast on the nectar of the blossom and watch the monarch butterflies as they flit through the gardens.
