The little shop

Our little shop is an old converted barn built around 100 years ago. Made from kauri timber that came from the top of Wekaweka Road and was milled just across the valley, it has been restored into a rustic country shop full of beautiful gifts, flowers grown in our gardens hanging to dry and very importantly - a coffee machine.

Enjoy a restful coffee or cup of tea in the garden with a scone or muffin or a sweet cake while catching up with friends or sharing the story of your travels with us.

The floors inside the shop have been loving "restored" to tell their story. The treasure they hold in the wide kauri boards, the marks, dents and odd curves here and there tell the story of the shop of having been a barn, a workshop, a pigeon house, and now a gift, craft and coffee shop.

Open mid-October through to Mothers Day in May from 9.30 am - 2pm, Friday through to Sunday- closed Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.

Keep an eye out for the shop door to be open out of our usual opening hours as we have the coffee machine on for guests from around 7 am until 10 am most days. You're welcome to stop in to pick up a coffee for the road.
